As you might remember we had to cancel our last guest lecture, due to the debt-ceiling crisis in the US. We, and our contacts at the American Embassy, were really sorry about that but as we have entered a new year, we have a new guest lecture lined up for you.
Tyson Barker, named one of the top 99 global foreign-policy leaders under the age of 33 by Diplomatic Courier magazine, will be in Copenhagen. IBP Academic would like to invite you to an exclusive guest lecture with Mr. Barker February the 3rd from 12:00-13:30 at SP114, which will cover the topics:
– Transatlantic trade and investment
– US-European legislative cooperation/European Parliament
– US-EU relations
Barker is the director of the transatlantic relations department of the Bertelsmann Foundation, which focuses on the transatlantic partnership between the US and EU and the new foreign-policy challenges that the alliance faces. He also manages the Congressional European Parliament Initiative (CEPI), a joint program between the Bertelsmann Foundation’s Washington and Brussels offices that aims to foster legislative cooperation between the US Congress and the European Parliament.
So, if you have been following the negotiations about the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (the biggest trade deal in the world!) or you are simply just interested in the US-EU trade relations, then this is an event you do not want to miss out on!
